How Do You View Your People
How Do You View Your People?
In November, I had the honor and pleasure of speaking at a “DisruptHR” Event in Charleston, SC. The title of my speech was, “Your Greatest Asset,” and my opening question was the slide below, “How do you view your people?”
The core of my business is focused on helping leaders and organizations address their greatest people challenges by:
Building comprehensive people systems: recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance optimization, etc.
Leadership development and training
Leadership and executive coaching
Workshops, seminars, retreats for teams–small, large; leadership and emerging leaders
Succession planning and emerging leadership development
The “why” behind all of this comes down to two core principles I live by: 1.) Be practical–these solutions reduce turnover and increase engagement for organizations, and 2.) Love God. Love People. Because this is the essence of life.
The question that I started my speech with, “How do you view your people?” is another way of saying, “Today, how are you going to value, respect, honor, and love your people better…and demonstrate it practically?”
At the end of this life, it matters little how many zeroes demonstrate your “net worth” or how much your “assets” are worth.
What does matter? How well we loved God and loved people with the time we are given on this earth.
How about you? How will you value, honor, cherish, and love a little better today, tomorrow, next week, month, this year?
The bottom-line: let’s all view “our people” (at home, work, play, worship) through a lens of value and love each day!
